Did you know that together Indiana and Michigan have 8 parks that are run by Rangers who work for the National Park Service (NPS)? Indiana and Michigan have a lot of parks but most of them are run by the
States. Only 8 parks are run by Rangers because these parks are owned by the NPS.

These parks tell the story of people, places, and things in Indiana and Michigan that make the United States so special and unique.

In this book, you will learn about ancient sites, a soldier, a president’s childhood
home, and unique land features along the shores of the Great Lakes. Rangers are
at all of these parks and can tell you
